So what is KurtRichardson.com? This site has been created for a number of reasons. Firstly, of course, it has been set up to advertise myself, my work, and Emergent Publications. I am interested in a wide variety of subjects, but the common unifying theme is complexity science - a branch of science that (in addition to a preoocupation with sophisticated computer models and graphics) highlights the importance of criticism and pluralism in the search for local provisional truths (values that are important in many walks of life, not just that of a complexity scientist). Secondly, I would like to use this site to exchange and explore ideas with interested parties by posting completed versions and early drafts of my academic researches and ideas. Thirdly, areas of this site will simply be used as a dumping ground for anything I'd like to post that might be of interest to someone out in the real world (where ever and whatever that might be!). Finally, and by no means least, I can use the site to keep in contact with my friends and family, keeping them up to date with my various travels.
